Mark began his career as a Navy search and rescue instructor with his H-60 helicopter squadron at NAS Mayport, where he discovered his passion for medicine. After completing his service, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Maryland, College Park, followed by a Master of Health Science and Physician Assistant certification from The George Washington University in 1995.
He launched his clinical career in emergency medicine, trauma, and intensive care at PG Hospital in Cheverly, Maryland, and went on to practice emergency medicine and trauma across the state for 17 years. As an Army Reservist, he was twice called to active duty in Iraq (2003–2004 and 2007–2008), where he provided urgent and trauma care to U.S. soldiers, Coalition forces, Iraqi detainees, and local civilians.
Beyond emergency medicine, Mark has practiced urgent care and occupational medicine, and worked as a government contractor developing and maintaining medical documentation standards for the Department of Defense and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Mark brings a patient-first philosophy to his work at Frederick Breathe Free, focusing on compassionate, accessible, and individualized care. He values minimally invasive approaches and evidence-based treatments that support faster recovery and lasting results. With his broad medical background, Mark works closely with physicians and patients to build collaborative treatment plans that improve breathing, relieve sinus and allergy symptoms, and enhance overall quality of life.

Mark lives in Damascus, Maryland, with his wife of 27 years, Susan, and their three children—Madeline, Mitchell, and Mark. Their family also includes three dogs: Pantera (Belgian Malinois), Chickee (Tibetan Mastiff), and Bailey (Akita/Lab mix).
